WELCOME
   to the official Website of the Bridgewater YouthLinx.

Youth Futures readily welcomes all young people aged 11-16 (but also those aged up to 18 for certain programs) to become a FREE member of YouthLinx. This includes free membership of the Bridgewater PCYC. If you want to check out Youth Futures before deciding to become one of our regulars then the best time to come along is one of our Drop In sessions at Bridgewater PCYC. Drop In is on Mondays and Wednesdays from 2.30-6.00pm. Morgs, Kermi, Drakie and all other staff will make you most welcome.

 

Below is a summary of Youth Futures activities and there is sure to be something that may interest you. For more information go to the regular activites section or upcoming events section of this website

Drop In activities including coaching clinics, table tennis, basketball, netball, weight training, indoor soccer, 8-ball, video games, internet, excursions etc. Monday's and Wednesday's 2.30-6.00pm. Supported by the Tasmanian Community Fund

 

Families Together program involving families getting together for joint activities, information and referral. A bbq or other dinner is provided and a worker from Anglicare's Glenorchy Illicit Drug Scheme is in attendance. Thursday's 6.00-8.00pm. Supported by the Australian Government (FaHCSIA)

 

Healthy Active Brighton program involving the entering various male and female teams in basketball at Clarence, softball at Goodwood and Indoor Soccer at Moonah. 'Build Your Skills' obstacle course for local primary school children. Free weight gym sessions for 'at risk' youth. Supported by the Australian Government (Health & Ageing)

 

Bringing Families Together Camps involving families getting away as a group to undertake fun activities and cement family bonds. Two per year. Attendance is by referral only.

 

School Holiday programs three times per year (June, September, January) involving daily excursions outside Bridgewater/Gagebrook. Supported by The Allport Bequest and Sunshine Association of Tasmania

 

Internet and computer access plus 8-ball, air hockey, video games available during the day and during Drop In.
